Discussing Options for Joining Campus Clubs
Conversation Script
Anna: Hey, Brian! Have you signed up for any clubs yet? I heard the activities fair is happening soon.
Brian: Oh, hey Anna! Yeah, I’m still trying to figure that out. There are so many options, it’s a bit overwhelming. Any suggestions?
Anna: I totally get that. I was in the same boat last semester. What are you interested in? You know, like hobbies or future career stuff?
Brian: Hmm, well, I really enjoy photography and I’ve been thinking about journalism as a career. I guess something related to those would be cool.
Anna: Perfect! Our campus has a really active photography club. They organize photo walks and even competitions. Plus, there's the student newspaper if journalism is your thing.
Brian: Oh, that sounds interesting! But, um, do you think it’s too much to join both? I’m worried about balancing them with my coursework.
Anna: Not at all! Most clubs are pretty flexible and understand that students have busy schedules. You could attend meetings and events when you have time. Maybe start with one and see how it goes?
Brian: That makes sense. I’ll probably check out both at the fair and see what fits best. Do you know when and where it’s happening?
Anna: Yeah, it’s this Friday from 10 to 4 at the student center. They’ll have booths set up, and you can chat with members. Oh, and you can get some freebies too!
Brian: Awesome, I’ll definitely drop by. Thanks for the advice, Anna!
Anna: No problem! Let me know how it goes. Maybe we’ll end up in the same club!
